With the cost of living hitting many of us, there has never been a better time to save money in any form possible. One way of saving money while buying clothes is to buy from a designer outlet.
What is a designer outlet you may be asking, an outlet is a place where groups of shops sell stock at a discounted price. This stock is often discontinued in the main shops so it gives you the chance to pick up the stock before it’s never seen again.
While discount designer outlets are often something you would see in smaller towns, London has a selection of outlets that you can visit to save money on your clothing.
The first place you could look to get a bargain on designer clothes in London is TK Maxx which is famous for designer clothing at a discount. TK Maxx sells everything from clothing to cookware and you can see huge savings here.
In London, you can find TK Maxx stores in Covent Garden, Kensington and Oxford Street.
The London Designer Outlet located in Wembley Park Boulevard offers something for everyone at discount prices. It has all the major brands and you can pick up everything from swimwear to prom dresses while seeing savings up to 70%
It’s accessible via public transport and car and has parking facilities close by. You can also take time out of your busy shopping day and do a tour of Wembley stadium which is close by.
I would highly recommend checking out the London Designer Outlet website before visiting as their offer section will let you know some of the best deals that they have on that week. Whether this is saving on clothing or 25% off one of the restaurants, some great deals are to be found here.
If up to 70% savings on designer brands sounds like something that could interest you then the Icon Outlet in the O2 is a great place to visit. With brands such as Adidas, Calvin Klein and Levi’s all have stores there.
The Icon Outlet also has free parking and is easily accessible via public transport too. Although it’s not as big as the London designer outlet it still packs a punch with its well-known brands and can become busy, especially during Christmas.
The Box in Hackney is something a little different as it has pop-up events from designer brands where their clothing is cheaper than it normally is. The 3000 sq ft venue has events, product launches and pop-ups where you can save up to 80% off the retail price of items.
Just off from Chatham Place, The Box can be found at:

If Burberry seems like a brand that’s too expensive then their outlet in Chatham Place could save you up to 20% off their retail price. While not as cheap as some of the other outlets in this post there can be significant savings made.
You can find the Burberry outlet at 29-31 Chatham Place, London E9 6LP
Clarks is a great shoe store for those needing a good quality shoe that fits. With their expert shoe fitters, Clarks can be a little more expensive than some other stores that offer similar style products. With that said the Clarks outlet stores in Elephant and Castle, Kilburn, Woolwich and Peckham can offer considerable savings to you and your family.
With the cost of living hitting us all hard we all need to look for smart ways of saving money. Shopping at outlets is one way of cutting back on expenses while still enjoying some of life’s luxuries.
